Offset Printing with Silk Lamination

Offset PressOffset Printing with Silk Lamination is the process of printing various types of cards stock and laminating the finished product between layers of film. Laminating card stock and papers, such as business cards, can prevent them from becoming creased, sun damaged, wrinkled, stained, smudged, abraded and/or marked by grease, fingerprints and environmental concerns.

Offset printing is the most common form of high-volume commercial printing, due to advantages in quality and efficiency in high-volume jobs. The more you print, the less you pay per page, because most of the price goes into the preparation undergone before the first sheet of paper is printed and ready for distribution. Any additional paper print will only cost the client paper and ink, which is very minimal. Furthermore, many modern offset presses are using computer to plate systems as opposed to the older computer to film work-flows, which further increases their quality.

A laminate is a material constructed by uniting two or more layers of material together. The process of creating a laminate is lamination, which in common parlance refers to the placing of something between layers and sealing them with heat and/or pressure, usually with an adhesive.
